Annual Historic Preservation Luncheon
The Bosque County Historical Commission will host its Annual Historic Preservation Luncheon on Saturday, August 9, 2025, 12:00 noon at the Civic Center in Clifton, Texas. Each year the Commission recognizes and honors a prominent historic person, event, or geographic location of the county. This year, the Preservation Luncheon will focus on the life of Dr. Zachary Scott, a prominent doctor in the State of Texas, who was raised in Bosque County. He practiced medicine in Clifton in the early 1900's before moving to Austin and was the father of actor Zachary Scott Jr.
Ticket price includes a baked potato bar. This is the primary fundraising event for the Collection.
Tickets are on sale, in advance only, for $15 per person. Tickets may be purchased at the Bosque County Collection during regular business hours, by check made out to "Friends of the Bosque County Collection" and mailed to P.O. Box 534, Meridian, 76665, or online by PayPal/credit card. Reservations for payment at the door can also be made by calling 254-435-6182 or emailing bcc@bosquechc.org. Please make your reservations by Thursday, August 7. Doors open at 11:30 am; lunch at Noon.
